Mark Andy has announced changes to its European sales organization. Tom Cavalco has been promoted to the position of European sales director and Alex Schmidt assumes the responsibility of regional sales manager.

Cavalco has been with Mark Andy Europe for ten years, serving in various roles including technical service, print services, and most recently regional sales manager for Eastern Europe and Russia. His history with the company has given him a distinct view of all aspects of the converter-supplier relationship, and in his past three years as sales manager, Mark Andy and Rotoflex have experienced more than 40% growth in the region.

“Tom’s commitment to the company and the industry is unmatched,” states Mike Russell, international sales director for Mark Andy Inc. “He is a champion for our print and rewind customers and continues to cultivate his flexo knowledge by participating in organizations such as the Young Managers Club of FINAT. We are excited to challenge him with this opportunity.”

With Tom’s promotion, the position of regional sales manager for Eastern Europe and Russia has been filled by Alex Schmidt. Schmidt has been with Mark Andy Europe for more than four years, most recently serving as print services supervisor, ensuring converters are optimizing their equipment. In this new role, Schmidt will be responsible for sales of Mark Andy presses and Rotoflex finishing systems to converters in a growing market, both in a direct sales role as well as through the company’s strong distributor network.
